Swedish artist Olle Hemmendorff has created a unique flooring solution in his home. He didn’t want wooden floors, but also didn’t want to remove them either as this would make his flat lose value. Rather than remove the wood floors, he simply covered them to make them his canvas.

The most intriguing was a study by Arthur Aron, a psychologist at the State University of New York, who wanted to see how long takes to feel a really deep romantic connection with someone. Laser treatments can be costly and painful, and ultimately might not even remove the tattoo completely. Thinking that there's got to be a better alternative, our founders began pursuing the idea that there could be a way to make tattoos that were permanent, and less expensive to remove. And thus the idea of the Particle Encapsulation and Enhancement (P2E) Platform was born.

I now have the need for a more powerful flash system, as I want to do portraits with an 8 x 10. I have 2, 283s, but those are still a bit feeble. I have made some smaller flash units(<100 WS) years ago and now have a bunch of photoflash capacitors that should give enough WS/Joules. What I need is a schematic for a system 110V sourced system as well as some part numbers for the trigger transformer and flash tube. I need about 2000WS.

Does anyone have, or know of such a circuit before I take the step of trying to design one from basic tube-era electronics theory. I know the power stored in capacitors can be very dangerous, but have worked with this before and know the correct procedures for working with high power energized DC.

The HomeBrew Robotics Club was resurrected from the ashes of the original HomeBrew Computer Club by a group enthusiasts who were interested in the emerging field of robotics. Currently 100W/S, (get two more tubes and she'll be a more useful 200W/S!), 60W model lamp, 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 and Full power switching. Working on an invertor to have her running on batteries as well as mains! (1200 turns of wire thinner than a hair on a transformer as big as a fingernail for the invertor isn't too much fun at the moment!)
Need to cobble together another digital sync. and still to find a 1/4" jack socket.

Total cost:- Supposed to be nothing for the challenge of building it all from scrap but had to pay 80p for a test switch and £1 for a halogen bulb!! Tut, tut!

My wife is always at me about the state of the numerous cables coiled all over to have the three PCs I use, running on my desk.

I've been tossing around an idea to build a custom rack to house the three PCs for a while now so I guess its time to get motivated.

The basic idea is to have the three PC mounted on drawer roller slides and have a bottom section to house:

So the only cables I will have coming out will be

I heard that the EOS Utility that comes with the camera allows to control the camera from your computer through the USB interface. You can only download updates from the Canon website, which require you to have the original media available or an older version of the software installed. I left my original media at work, but I really wanted to use this tool tonight.
