Hike the Geek this Sunday! We’ll be meeting at the Shoreline trail in Mountain View. This is an easy, fun hike.
Come join us for a leisurely stroll around Golden Gate park! We’ll be meeting at the entrance of the Conservatory of Flowers. See here for details:
After the hike, we’ll meet for lunch at the Beach Chalet restaurant:
If there’s a small amount of rain (drizzles), the hike will go as planned. In the event of large amounts of rain, we’ll skip the hike, and meet directly at the Beach Chalet for lunch at 12:30 p.m.
The Beach Chalet is located where Golden Gate Park meets the Pacific Ocean above the Park Visitor’s Center.

This week’s Hike the Geek is up! This time, we’re going to be hiking Muir Woods on Sunday at 10:00 a.m. Details are available here:
http://www.hikethegeek.com/SF/. Thanks to extremejessy for the suggestion.
Met up with frogpyjamas at Crissy Field this morning. I left twice the amount of time I thought it would take to get there, and I was still 1/2 hour late. I ended up wandering around the Presidio trying to get to Mason St. As a result, I missed meeting Dan at the Crissy Field Center. Sorry Dan! Fortunately frogpyjamas was very gracious about my tardiness.
Once I met up with frogpyjamas I had a great time. The Crissy Field park is lovely with great views of the Golden Gate Bridge and the bay:

There have been any S.F. Hike the Geeks recently, so I’m planning to host one this Sunday. Anyone recommend a good route?
